Silt Fence

Silt fence is a structure that is designed to control the sediment run-off from construction sites. The sediment, left unchecked, can clog and pollute waterways and drainage pipes in and around the construction site. The cost associated with the soil loss and the cost of cleaning out clogged system makes it economically advantageous to install the correct amount of silt fence on your construction site.

The main problem we see with silt fence is improper installation. Proper placement is a large part of the installation process. Silt fence should never be used as a ditch check (see ditch checks on the products page). A complete manual on proper silt fence placement is available from the Burchland Silt Fence Machine company at http://www.burchlandmfg.com or to learn more about proper placement please contact your local A.S.P. representative.

A.S.P. maintains a large supply of silt fence that meets all the local municipal and department of transportation specifications. Our fence is available preassembled with the post attached or in longer rolls with the fabric and post separate.
